Wearing sea turtle jewelry is a great way to show the world you care about wildlife and protected species. Today the creatures will lay more eggs and will lose more just to produce one turtle that returns to the same beach. Many organizations are taking a stand and are enlisting the help of volunteers to protect these creatures.

Even if you do not live near a beach or coastal area you can show your concern and support for the hearty sea creatures. There are many companies that make seat turtle jewelry. Only a few actually use some of the profits to help the creatures. Typically the pendants in gold or bronze finish with moving fins are authentic pieces that contribute to the welfare of the sea creatures.

If a necklace or pendant is not your style consider a bracelet. The bracelet symbolized the return of turtle parents to the same beach every year. It makes an excellent anniversary gift as it serves as a reminder of the commitment and dedication of the returning spouse.

Those who simply like the nautical look can choose a nautical bracelet or gold anchor necklace as a gift or for personal use. A bracelet of mini starfish and sea shells can become a complementary piece to a turtle pendant. It can be worn with beach wear and many types of Summer fashions.

A nautical chain bracelet is an excellent piece for a man to wear. It is stylish and provides a more masculine look with links that are thicker at one end. Bracelets can be found in gold and silver finishes. The gold chain will look good with a gold anchor necklace for any man who wants masculine jewelry that is slightly different from what others are wearing.

Turks head rings can be worn by both men and women. They consist of several strands of individual wires braided together. The pattern is delicate enough to be suitable for women but wide enough to be worn by men as well. It makes an excellent gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or as a special token of appreciation. Turks head braided jewelry is also made into bracelets and earrings so a person with one piece can collect an entire matching set.

There are many variations of sea turtle jewelry. The bronze or gold finished pendants are made with plenty of detail to closely resemble the real thing. Other variations include pendants with blue/green stones used to represent the patterns of the turtle shell. The items are not just for children and teens. Many adults find the small creatures charming and suitable to wear every day. They are affordable and make excellent gift ideas for many occasions, such as birthdays, graduations, and other special occasions.

Scientists have discovered that a community of seaweeds and worm-like animals lived in a quiet deep-water niche under the sea about 600 million years ago near what is now Lantian, which is a small village in Anhul Province of South China. The scientists identified about 15 different species at the site, in addition to the ancient versions of algae and worms. The researchers said that the fossils …

Ages 6 to 12 years. To lay eggs, a sea turtle swims thousands of miles to the beach where she was born. This long journey is fraught with danger. In many cases, the beaches are now full of hotels, people, and lights, which fool sea turtles into going the wrong way after they have laid their eggs. The journey of the hatchlings is even more harrowing, and very few make it to the ocean. In this fascinating book, children will learn about: the different species of sea turtles, their bodies, life cyc

Question by Matt C: How are deep sea animals able to withstand the tremendous water pressure in the ocean?
It takes special materials to assemble a deep sea diving vessel capable of holding against deep sea water pressure, yet organisms inhabiting this zone are able to do so naturally. I don’t understand the biological mechanism that allows this.

Best answer:

Answer by Irv S
Think just a bit. ” It takes special materials to assemble a deep sea diving vessel”,
because that vessel must carry air at ‘surface’ pressures within it.
Deep sea animals are mostly non-compressible fluid, and don’t even ‘feel’
pressure changes at all.

At the request of Malaysia, World Trade Organization (WTO) set up an expert panel to discuss an America’s measure to protect sea turtle.

The expert panel of WTO has made a decision that allow America implement its law to prevent sea turtle from being killed by shrimp net. According to this rule, if a shrimp boat can harm the existence of those endangered sea turtles, America can refuse to import shrimp product captured by these boats.

All of the sea turtles living in American water area are regarded as endangered species. When shrimp nets are dragged underwater to capture shrimps, they can also catch sea turtles and tons of other fishes. If a sea turtle can’t get out of the shrimp nets, it will die. To effectively prevent the death of sea turtle, a metal mesh will be stitched on the shrimp net. The metal mesh is called turtle-driven device, it can induce sea turtle to pass through a mesh while other shrimps will go to the rear end of shrimp net through this metal mesh.

In 1987, America issued Endangered Species Protection Law, requesting those shrimpers in the areas with high mortality rate of sea turtle to use turtle-driven device or to set time limit on their fishing operation. There are more than ten countries that request their shrimp boat to install this turtle-driven device.

In 1996, Thailand, Malaysia, India and Pakistan lodged a complaint to WTO. They assumed that the limits which America imposed on shrimp’s import have constituted an unfair trade barrier. WTO agreed with the view of these countries, and it requested America to change its implementing method for the act of sea turtle. To comply with WTO requirement, America agreed to import shrimp product from the countries that didn’t request to install this turtle-driven device, but the only condition is that exporting party must testify that those shrimps were caught by the fishing boats equipped with turtle-driven device.

Sea turtle is a kind of lovely marine creature. If you want to learn more about sea turtle, you can visit http://www.seaturtles911.org On this website, you can learn what measures we can take to save sea turtles. You can even be signed up as a volunteer to protect this endangered animal. The protection area is located in Sanya city, which is China’s southernmost coastal city. If you come here, you can not only see those lovely sea turtle, but also learn Chinese. If we work together, sea turtle will go on surviving on this planet.

Marine or water turtles have survived for such as long time already, which is why these creatures are often employed as pets. Actually, turtles had been particularly available among pet raisers or breeders and are widely available in pet stores. A water turtle pet can be classified as common or uncommon and are either marine or semi-marine turtles. This would mean that you can easily raise and have this animal as a pet.

The ocean or a body of water is the natural environment of marine turtles where they wade and swim. They can also thrive in common bodies of water such as lakes, streams or ponds. A water turtle pet has functional webbed feet that assist them in paddling or swimming. Alternatively, semi-marine varieties are seen in marshy and swampy regions. Water turtles are particularly slow-moving, patient, composed and placid creatures. They conceal their head within the shell upon encountering threat.

The water turtle pet has different species and types. They can be found in various pet stores and are preferred by lots of breeders and pet raisers. Among them are African side-necked sea turtle which have a pug nose as well as a physically upturned smile that definitely adds to their delightful look. African mud turtle is another term for the African side neck. It has 15 sub-species ?rican helmeted sea turtle is one. These species are prolific breeders they are also aggressive, curious, initially shy, resilient and adaptive.

The red-eared slider species of the water turtle pet is also a popular pet turtle and are taken by most turtle enthusiasts. That is because they are moderately tame especially in confinement. They are generally hushed and hardy within a natural habitation. Red-eared sliders are significantly identified through their distinctly physical characteristic – their red ears. You will see them in thousands because of the fact that they are fertile species. They have pastel and albino color morphs.

Another exceptional water turtle pet is the painted turtle that is common in some parts of Canada, the United States and Mexico. Of the most common marine turtles, painted turtles are extremely likable. They are considered as very beautiful species of turtles. Their sub-species include the Western, Midland, Southern and the Eastern varieties of painted turtles. While young ones are generally carnivorous, mature ones are typically herbivorous. Equally, there are uncommon water turtle pet species such as pig-nosed turtle and the snapping turtle.

What is it’s importance to sea life? Explain to me why the freezing point of sea water important and why the melting point is important. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Wayne
Water freezes at 0 degrees C, but the densest water is at 4 degrees, so the bottom of rivers or lakes freeze absolutely last.
